Landline & WLL reconnection
It has been decided by competent authority to launch a scheme for reconnection of
disconnected Land Line and WLL fixed Telephone numbers in Bihar circle with a view to
provide an opportunity to take advantage of new tariff by the customers whose Landline
/WLL connection have been disconnected.
The details of this scheme are given below.
1. All the Telephone numbers lying disconnected due to Non-Payment and on which the
outstanding is Rs. 20,000/- or less excluding intervening period rental will be reconnected
with the incoming facility. The facility will also be provided for Customers to make
outgoing calls with the help of ITC cards.
2. The nos. disconnected on or after 01-04-2007 shall be reconnected immediately subject
to the technical feasibility. Telephone numbers disconnected before 01-04-2007 shall
also be reconnected under this scheme if the Customer makes such request.
3. The rental for intervening period will be waived and the outstanding dues will be ordered
to be realized by making installment subject to a max. of 5 installment. Amount of any
installment should not be less than 2 months rental.
4. Customer can avail any facility including outgoing facility (except ISD) on payment of
first installment fixed as per Para 4. The remaining installment shall be payable by the
Customer in monthly installments. On payment of first installment, while outgoing
facility shall be restored, the Customer can apply for any other facility he wishes to avail
to the concerned commercial / nominated officer.
5. If any excess metering complaint is there, it shall be settled by the concerned Telecom
District Head within a period of 15 days positively.
6. The scheme will be applicable for all types of telephone connections, except for VPT &
PCOs for which separate guidelines will be issued.
Reconnection will be subject to any dispute legal or otherwise. District Head will take
considered decision in this regard and his decision will be final.
This scheme will be valid for 180 days from 18.06.2008 to14.12.2008
